Loverly
Every day, we talk to people who are intimidated by social media. When the subject of twitter comes up, these people cringe. The idea of putting seemingly random thoughts out into the ether is so overwhelming, they don’t want to even try.
And then we meet people like @IvyBean104, an absolutely delightful lady who resides at Hillside Manor, a Residential Home for Retired Ladies and Gentlemen, in Bradford England. At 104, Ivy Bean is the most social media savvy little old lady we’ve ever seen. After being active on Facebook for two years, it was a natural for her to graduate to twitter. (She joined May 13 with a little help from Geek Squad). She has photos on twitpic, loves Deal or No Deal, Adam Lambert, and sharing a laugh.
@IvyBean104 recently taught her friend @Mabel1922 how to tweet. Following them is like a visit to Grandma’s house for tea and cookies.
If @IvyBean and @Mabel1922 can tweet, it’s time for the younger generation (those under 100 who think it’s scary) to give it a try. Experts say that trying new things keeps the brain young. If that’s true, these women will never truly grow old.

All Comments are Moderated to keep out porn, spammers, and other people who don't play nice. They may be edited by us if they ramble on forever because if you're that long-winded, we recommend you start your own blog. Posts with a bunch of urls in them, or contain obvious advertising, will be edited or deleted, depending on how generous we feel at the time. If you're a wacko, we'll probably publish your comment just so we can make fun of you. If you say something nice, God will give you a puppy. No guarantees, but if we were God, we'd do it.
