Talk, Talk, Talk
We’d like you to meet @murnahan. According to twellow, he has been on twitter since February 11, 2009.

What makes @murnahan so special? In just over two months, he has posted more than 17,255 tweets. We say “more than,” because at an average of 254 tweets a day, the count continues to rise moment by moment. If he never sleeps, and tweets 24 hours a day, that’s 10+ tweets per hour, every hour of the 68 days he’s been on twitter.
What’s even more remarkable is his ability to also send 1000 DM’s per day.

Interesting that his limit of 1000 DM’s per day is so distressing, after his glee at twitter’s new following limit of 1000 per day.

Why should resource limits apply to others, and not to him? Because he’s important to twitter. They need him. We all do.

All Comments are Moderated to keep out porn, spammers, and other people who don't play nice. They may be edited by us if they ramble on forever because if you're that long-winded, we recommend you start your own blog. Posts with a bunch of urls in them, or contain obvious advertising, will be edited or deleted, depending on how generous we feel at the time. If you're a wacko, we'll probably publish your comment just so we can make fun of you. If you say something nice, God will give you a puppy. No guarantees, but if we were God, we'd do it.

In under 140 characters: The fail bird failed to see that all users add value to Twitter. When monetized, Twitter will gain from us all.
Unfortunately, you missed the point. Yes, when monetized, Twitter will gain from all users. Until then, since it is free, those who max out the resources shouldn’t be rewarded. You can’t point fingers at the aggressive followers and say they should be limited, yet you should not. Some of them are not scammers or scammers, so perhaps they provide value, too.
ah… how is this a fail? You’re ripping off a guy who seems to fit perfectly in your definition of ‘good’ social? Actually he should be applauded for being more ‘social’ than most of twitter. That he’s capped his DM’s is only an indication that he IS social.
I think the #fail is on you dude. Who made you judge and jury anyway?
hoping you get it right next time.. and by the way, a blog/website focusing on twitter really should have a comment field for entering your twitter name… #fail x2
That’s a great idea! TwitterID has now been added to all comments.

[...] Unfortunately, twitter is filled with imperfection, and some people just can’t help but send DM’s that nobody really wants to read. There are so many of these lame DM’s going around that some people can’t sift through all the garbage to find DM’s they really want to read from people they like. If you’re one of those people, take our advice and unfollow or block all those people. It’s better to have fewer followers you really want to interact with, than thousands who drive you crazy, like the guy who was upset that twitter was limiting him to 1000 DM’s per day. [...]
